Pet of the Week - “Honey Bee”

Hello, my name is Honey Bee. I am owned by Paisley and Lola McCarroll. I am a yellow Labrador. My family named me after Proverbs 16:24, “Kind words are like honey, sweet to the soul.” I am two years old and already counting down until my next birthday, May 31. My girls always treat me to a party hat and a pup cup of ice cream.

Even though I’m not old enough for a driver’s license, I once stole Grandpa’s scooter and took it for a spin. Thankfully he found humor in it and gave me permission to sit in the driver’s seat anytime I want.

I keep watch over the barnyard and keep a special eye on the flock of sheep. When the girls are gathering eggs, I secretly hope one is cracked, because I know they will give it to me. Yum! Chasing squirrels wears me out, but it’s worth the workout when I get a fluffy tail up the tree.

After I have rolled in cow patties and splashed in the creek, I jump on my favorite bench and bask in the sun. If I see the bucket and suds, I run! I hate baths! My girls make me treats, scratch my ears, and call me Honey. What more could I ask for?
