Pet of the Week: Penelope

Penelope 15 months old and a Frenchie mix. She’s the happiest dog you will ever meet!

She loves everyone and every toy you throw at her. Don't forget treats! She's never met a treat she didn't like. What she doesn't like is her pajamas!

Due to a condition that she has she wears Pajamas to help protect her bottom. Penelope has Spastic paralysis.

Very similar to MS, it affects the nerves in her back legs. Her right leg takes the worst of it, which causes her leg to do just as it says.

She has spasms in that leg and it throws her off balance. When she first came to the rescue, she didn't walk at all and after acupuncture and some at home therapy, she has gained some strength in her legs to help her walk some.

When she isn't trying to walk, she scoots on her butt. She is the fastest dog on two legs!

She is available for adoption and is currently looking for her Furever home!
