The Beanhive Coffee Co. opens shop inside of bakery

One of Tipp City and West Milton’s most beloved coffee trailers will make their grand opening at their first-ever brick and mortar location at noon on Friday, November 8. Beanhive Coffee has already been a member of the Tipp City community at local downtown and business events and activities. However, their coffee was served on wheels. Although Beanhive is making its grand opening on the 8th, they’re still in the process of their soft launch. Since their combination with Sweet Adeline’s, their convenient downtown Tipp City location has been a popular spot for community members to grab a cup of joe, even though they’ve only been test-running their opening for a few weeks.

Beanhive owner Sandra Teague shares her excitement for this coffee shop and bakery immersion. Sandra is a spunky and energetic business owner with big dreams and a bright vision for her coffee company. Her favorite drink on the menu, “Busy Bee,” describes her perfectly. Sandra began Beanhive in the backyard of her West Milton home. After starting the project of creating a mobile coffee cart in 2021, she spent the next few years traveling to local events with her menu of tasty coffees and fun energy drinks. While still being booked every weekend in her cart, Sandra is finally opening a solidified venue accessible to anyone in the community. The coffee shop is located inside of Sweet Adelines, 22 N. Second St. However, the transactions are separate. That being said, separate does not mean inconvenient. Both registers are just inches apart, making it easy to grab a coffee and then a pastry. The business owners also use teamwork to make in-house syrups and flavorings.

Teague’s biggest dream is to own a combined coffee and antique shop.  With her work ethic and pleasant personality, Beanhive Coffee Company seems to be a stepping stone to a much larger customer base. Sandra is excited to be planted in the middle of such a booming community as Tipp City. She has already taken the initiative to offer a two-dollar coffee to senior citizens. The Beanhive Coffee Company is the perfect stop before grabbing a sweet treat inside Sweet Adelines or even shopping at The Clothesline next door. The Tipp City community expresses its excitement for the soft and hard launch of the coffee shop’s opening. It looks forward to supporting not only the small business but also its owner, Sandra, and her big coffee dreams.
