MU MVCTC students compete in state contests

The Milton-Union MVCTC (Miami Valley Career Technology Center) FFA (Future Farmers of America) chapter competed in the state Poultry and Livestock Judging Contests in Columbus. In the Poultry Career Development Event (CDE), students evaluate and grade hens, broilers, eggs, and other poultry products. During the Livestock CDE, the students evaluate and place market and breeding cattle, goats, sheep and pigs. The state poultry team members were Tessah Perkins (12th), Kylie Wintrow (11th), Luke Jones (10th), and Riley Kent (9th). Members of the state livestock team were Emersyn Freisthler (10th), Penelope Bobic (10th), Khloe Wertz (10th), Sophia Blackburn (10th), and Cindy Zellers (9th).
