Vandalia Bits for 6/5/24

A quick run-down of Vandalia-area news items and events. Thanks to the Vandalia Butler Chamber of Commerce for keeping us in the loop!

·         The Vandalia Sweet Treats Fest was held on Saturday, May 11, at the Vandalia Rec Center. It was a chance to indulge your sweet tooth in a symphony of flavors. Sponsored by Monroe Federal, there were nearly a dozen food trucks and other food vendors. Death Grip Donuts was there with their food truck, as was Cumberland Kettle Corn, Frios Pops, BL BBQ, Sweet Tooth ice cream, Jess-a-Taste, and others. Visitors were out in good numbers, snacking and enjoying the beautiful weather.

·         Little York Tavern will be hosting Marshall Hi-Watt Live on Friday, June 7 starting at 8 p.m. Marshall Hi-Watt plays 70’s and 80’s rock focused on hard rock North of the Mason-Dixon and Europe.

·         The Vandalia Sports Complex will be hosting an All-Inclusive Recreation Day on Friday, June 14, starting at 10 a.m. “Are you looking for a day full of fun and recreation in an inclusive setting? The Vandalia Recreation Center is hosting an all-inclusive recreation day for people who have developmental disabilities. This day will be filled with recreational field game activities, lunch, and water activities.”

·         Little York Tavern will be hosting Trapper Keepers on Friday, June 14, at 8 p.m. Trapper Keepers are a six-piece band based in Dayton, playing Pop and Rock songs from 1980-1989. There is a $5 cover charge for this event!
