News from the West Milton and Union area:

·         Milton Union Middle School 8th grade students participated in their promotion ceremony while proud family members and friends watched. Ty Parsons and Braden Schaurer, 2024 graduates, were the guest speakers. 

·         Congratulations to the Spring Sports 1st Team TRC recipients. Pictured (left to right) are Zachary Lovin, Emma Deeter, Jenna Brumbaugh, Payton Mayfield, Samuel Milnickel, Sofie Elliott, Carly Zimmef, and Mylee Jones. 

·         The Bulldogs soaked up the last few days of school. Check out Mrs. Barnes and Mrs. Davis' 1st grade classes. They enjoyed reading and bubbles outside under the sun.

·         The last day of school was Field Day fun and activities at the middle school! 

·         Congratulations to Alan Limke on his retirement. Mr. Limke is currently serving in the role of STEM teacher for students in grades Kindergarten through 5th grade. He has taught for 25 years and 13 of those years here at Milton-Union. His favorite memories include the Solar Eclipse this past spring, supporting the summer space and STEM camps, hearing the kindergarten students laugh as they saw themselves as elves, hearing the screams of excitement from rocket launches and anytime a student said, "I did it."

·         Congratulations to Vicki Sullivan on her retirement! Mrs. Sullivan is currently serving as a 5th Grade Math and Science teacher. She has taught for 34 years and 31 of those years at Milton-Union. Mrs. Sullivan's favorite memories were teaching the children of former students. "Interacting with them as adults and hearing them tell fun stories of when they were in 4th or 5th grade in my classroom!"

·         Congratulations to Peggy Geyer on her retirement. Mrs. Geyer is currently serving as an Intervention Specialist. She has taught for 37 years, all of which were at Milton-Union. Mrs. Geyer's favorite memories include the Family Fun Nights, where families would come in and do an activity together, and the Open Houses, where she met her students on the first and last days of school and saw all of the progress students had made between those days.
