Board Of Education approves contractor to reconfigure L.T. Ball
The Tipp City Board of Education met for a Special Meeting on Monday, July 8, at 7:45 a.m. The board approved True United Contractors to reconfigure parts of L.T. Ball Elementary for a cost of $201,635. The work is scheduled for completion by August 9. True United Contractors will add classrooms to L.T. Ball, home of fourth and fifth graders, to accommodate Nevin Coppock’s third graders. The students will no longer be able to attend Nevin Coppock beginning this coming fall, because it will be demolished to provide room for the construction of the new PK-8 elementary building.
Prior to the board’s approval, Superintendent Aaron Moran explained that there were three bids for the work and True United Contractors submitted the lowest bid. Board member Angela McMurry noted that True United Contractors does work for Wright-Patterson Air Force Base and local businesses and should be a good choice for the job.
