City Breaks Ground on new Dog Park splash pad

Last week, the City of Tipp City broke ground on the latest addition to Kyle Park: a splash pad dedicated to our dogs! While the new doggie splash pad has been in the works for several months, last week the bulldozers and dump trucks were out in force at Kyle, beginning the creation of an exciting addition to Kyle that will located right next to the existing dog park.

This exciting project is generously funded by local residents Julie and Doug Slagel and the Tipp Foundation, along with an amount of funds set aside in the city budget to link the new splash pad to the park’s existing infrastructure. The city has already broken grown and begun digging up the grass and moving dirt away to create the space where the doggy splash pad will be located. Construction and installation work will continue over the next two weeks to complete the project.

The splash pad will feature water play equipment designed specifically for dogs by H20Fido. Tipp City's staff will handle the installation of the water line and “spray ground” equipment, while Coate Construction will pour the concrete pad.

The new splash pad, named Lillie's Pad, is expected to be completed by the end of June. Stay tuned for more details about the upcoming ribbon-cutting event.
