Fair Valley Fins Continue Impressive run in GDSA, top Piranhas & Four Seasons

The Fair Valley Fins summer swim team put on another dominating performance at their Greater Dayton Swim Association (GDSA) home opener Thursday, June 13, with a season high score of 596.76. The Pinecrest Piranhas swim team finished second with 427.33 points, and the 4 Seasons Swim Club finished in third place with a score of 392. The Fair Valley Fins took 1st place in 44 of the 74 events.

Notable 1st place results from all age groups are as follows:

·         Girls 9-10 100m Medley Relay- Vanessa Verhoff, Gemma Levi, Lola Taufmann, Paisley Krueger (1:32.54)

·         Boys 13-14 200m Medley Relay- Austin Kuhns, Stephan Lamb III, Logan Taylor, Hudson Mertens (2:34.54)

·         Men 15 & Over 200m Medley Relay – Dayne Schlagetter, Brodie Schlagetter, Alex Hale, Brendan Swinderman (2:02.11)

The Fair Valley Fins summer swim team provides a positive environment for children to learn many valuable life lessons in addition to developing stronger swimming skills. Swimmers also learn how to be responsible teammates, how to push themselves individually, and how to compete in a healthy and fun manner. They train and host swim meets, locally at Fair Valley Swim and Tennis located at 5975 Brandtford Rd. in Dayton.
