Open House held for Tipp City Water/Wastewater Building

On Wednesday, May 8, the City of Tipp City hosted an Open House for the new Water/Wastewater Building at 527 S. First Street, Tipp City.

Mayor Logan Rogers offered a few words regarding the building dedication, noting this momentous occasion coincides with Clean Water Week and that “this convergence highlights the significance of our commitment to providing clean, safe water to our community.”

Rogers continued, “This new building is more than infrastructure; it’s a beacon of efficiency. With this new centralized building, the Water Department can now store parts and necessary equipment in one location. This building ensures our swift response to any need. No longer will our resources be scattered, but instead, they will be housed securely under one roof. Today’s celebration was not for a structure but our dedication to progress and service.”

Rogers thanked those in attendance and those who contributed to the project, giving special thanks to Candace Goodall Architect, Choice One Engineering, Garmen Miller, and Arcon Construction whose hard work ensured a successful project.

The City Council approved this project on June 5, 2023, with a total expenditure of $1,859,000. Beyond just boosting the Water & Wastewater Department's effectiveness, it serves as the kickoff for a broader city-wide facilities plan. With this project finished, the Park Department will transition to the public works building, streamlining operations with the Street & Parks Superintendent. Consequently, the deteriorating Park Garage will be demolished, paving the way for expanded parking capacity for City Park events along Park Ave.
