Social Page: February 21, 2024
Hey, everyone. Hope you enjoyed the surprise snowstorm! If only there were a way to predict the weather. A quick note – here at the paper, we’re not sure if we’re going to continue this column. While it was a great idea, and an attempt to bring back the “good old days” of society pages without all the “snobbiness,” we’re just not getting enough submissions from readers.
If you want to see this column continue, we need your input! PLEASE send us your recent news, anniversaries, parties – whatever! Did you have some folks visit from out of town? Do something exciting recently? Send us a short write-up (150 words or less) and a single photo to socialpage@tippgazette.com and we might include it!

The Tipp City Senior Citizens held a men-only crafting class. This gave them the opportunity to create a lovely card and arrange a vase of flowers to give to a loved one on valentines day. Sue Jackson and Patra Sengsy were the instructors for this event. As you can see, the guys did a great job!

Forrest Gump the Dog is a Champion!
HI! My Name is Forrest, Forrest Gump! I spent my very first weekend – a very cold weekend in Shipshewana, Indiana, with my Jen-ay. At just 6 months of age, I have officially earned my Champion Title with the United Kennel Club! This means that I meet the Standard Poodle Written Breed Standard – according to six different UKC licensed judges.
Last weekend, I was entered in a Barn Hunt Association Trial – to find RATS! Buried in straw! Worry not! The rats are safe and sound in their little PVC Tubes. I have to find the hidden rat, go through a tunnel, and climb the wall of straw in 2 minutes or less! It is SOO FUN!!!
PS – I am a Service Dog in Residence (a future Service Dog), working to earn my socialization credentials – so, if you spot me working about in downtown Tipp City – be sure to stop by and introduce yourself. Ciao! Forrest, Forrest Gump and Jen-ay. Well, now we ain’t strangers anymore. (photo by Jillian Casey)
