Do you know this woman?

Tipp City Police is seeking help from the public to identify a person of interest connected to a fraud investigation.

According to Tipp City Police, they received a call from a local Tipp City bank approximately two weeks after the incident, which occurred on Oct. 29, where a woman produced fraudulent paperwork falsely representing herself as the owner of an account at the bank. The person allegedly produced a printed-out paper copy of a BMV identification that was used to deceive a bank teller, then access and withdrawal money from the victim’s account, said Tipp City Police Detective Luke Veldman.

The victim has since been reimbursed by the bank any money that was lost during the incident, Veldman said, but police are still seeking the person who is pictured in the bank video screen shot. The bank teller described the person of interested as a woman in her late 50s, or possibly early 60s. The person police would like to speak with appears to be a white female with dark hair.

If anyone recognizes the woman police are seeking, or has any information about this incident, please call Detective Veldman at 937-667-3112 or email him at Veldmanl@tippcity.net.
