Ribbon cutting celebrates Tipp City Global Methodist Church’s new parking lot
The Tipp City Chamber of Commerce hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Sunday, September 22, to celebrate the completion of the new parking lot at Tipp City Global Methodist Church. The event marked a significant milestone for the church and its congregation.
The new parking lot ensures greater accessibility for all visitors, including enhanced spaces for handicapped parking. The improvements come as part of a broader community-focused vision to maintain and enhance facilities that serve both the church and its neighbors.
“We’re incredibly pleased with the work done by JB Jergens Contractors. Their dedication to this project has been remarkable,” a representative from the church shared. “It’s also heartwarming to see local businesses step up, allowing us to utilize their parking spaces on Sundays, which has eased the transition.”
In addition to improving functionality, the church has prioritized safety with new walkway elements, ensuring safe passage for pedestrians, including parents, children, and the elderly. Six light posts will be installed in October to further enhance the safety and usability of the parking area.
The parking lot also includes a long-standing community feature, two flagpoles, where both the Christian flag and the U.S. flag proudly fly. The second flagpole, generously donated by the Richard Long family, symbolizes the church’s deep roots in the community.
Church leadership shared that the capital campaign for the project has been a resounding success, thanks to the generosity of pledges and gifts from members and friends. They are confident that the project will be fully funded by next summer when all elements, including the light posts, are completed.
