The Tippecanoe swim team defeated Trotwood Madison last week in boys’ action 2273-1608. For Tipp, Stephen Ridgeway led the Red Devils with a 202-265 (467), while Nick Lanham rolled 258-178 (436), James Ridgeway 210-233 (434), Austin Post 157-157 (314), while single games were bowled by Taylor Riggle 127 and Aaron Davis 93. The Tipp baker games were 199 and 203.
Tipp is now 4-2 overall and 3-1 in the GWOC.
The Tipp girls also defeated Trotwood 1560-919. Jessica Goodson led Tipp with a 325 series, rolling a 117-208. Also for Tipp, Reegan Brown 124-155 (279), Ashlyn Herzog 122-154 (276), Abbey Lee 109-113 (222), Anna Deffet 128 and Olivia Hamilton 88. Baker games were 115-127.
Tipp Swimming- The Red Devils swam at the Miamisburg Tri-Meet, with several top three finishes.
In the womens 200 Medley Relay, Tipp’s team of Arielle Arnett, Tori Prenger, Alexis Cook and Nicole Downing placed third, while on the boys side, the team of Ryan Wall, Matthew pointer, Evan Hill and Ben Jans also placed third.
Poynter also finished second in the boys 200 free. In the 200 IM, Arnett finished second in the girls race, Ben Jans was second in the boys race.
Cook won the girls 50 free and 100 free for Tippecanoe, while Ryan Wall was second in the boys 100 fly.
Arnett came back in the girls 500 free and captured the title with a 5:26.86, a half minute ahead of her closest competition.
In the boys 500, Poynter was second overall. Also in the boys 200 free relay, Tipp was third with Raymond Burkey, Luke Anticoli, Ethan Sinning and Alec Schwartz.
The girls 400 free relay saw Tipp place second, with Arnett, Downing, Prenger and Cook. The Tipp boys also were second in their race with Poynter, Wall, Hill and Jans.
Both the boys and girls teams placed third overall in the meet.
