A new summer event, The Vintage in the Village, is coming to downtown Tipp City on June 15.
Sponsored by the Downtown Tipp City organization, the one-day event will feature activities on the streets and in the shops downtown. Hours will be 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
“This one-day activity will enhance the already wonderful downtown offerings of the permanent merchants and restaurants,” said Andi Trzeciak of Downtown Tipp City.
She explained that a street-fair concept will be employed to “promote our permanent merchants and restaurants while also showcasing, new, temporary vendors.”
The Vintage in the Village will include components of the former Antique and Artisan Show that drew crowds to the downtown in June for more than a dozen years.
The planning committee of volunteers and Downtown Tipp City staff is working on “bringing a very popular style of vintage and handmade show” downtown, Trzeciak said.
In addition to vintage and antique items an array of food trucks and activities are planned. A kids’ area also is in the works.
“The committee would love people to know that there is an excitement and fervor behind this event and we are so excited about bringing something so full of life to our downtown. Although we are working off of the model of the Antique and Artisan Shows of the past several years, the event will feel familiar, but will have exciting new vendors and attractions for visitors to experience,” Trzeciak said.
The Miami County Visitors and Convention Bureau is helping sponsor and promote the new event, she said.
