Tipp City Area Arts Council's 7th Annual Historic Downtown Tipp City Paint Out and Wet Paint Exhibit and Sale is open free of charge to artists of all skill levels. This plein aire event will be held on Friday and Saturday, October 9th and 10th, 2015, in beautiful historic Tipp City.

Named as one of Ohio's top small towns by The Culture Trip and Ohio magazine, Tipp City has a plethora of historic and scenic settings which plein aire artists may paint. Dinner and Demo - Friday, October 9th: This year's Dinner and Demo’s guest artist is Joseph Lombardo of Columbus, Ohio, who will be speaking and demonstrating his work at a dinner held at Coldwater Cafe (19 E. Main St., Tipp City) on Friday, October 9th at 6:00 P.M.

Lombardo is an Adjunct Professor at the Columbus College of Art and Design and is represented by Art Access Gallery in Columbus; Center Gallery in Glen Arbor, Michigan; and exhibits nationally. He taught plein aire painting in Tuscany in June 2014 and plans to return next summer.

Cost of the dinner is $42 per person or $37 for TCAAC members.

Seating is limited and reservations are required; you may purchase tickets at Tipp Monroe Community Services at 3 E. Main St, Tipp City or call 937-667- 8631 to pay by credit card. Paint Out - Saturday, October 10th: Artists are to register at the Tippecanoe Room at 109 E. Main Street starting at 8:30 A.M. on Saturday, October 10th. Coffee, donuts, and location information will be made available for artists at that time.

The Paint Out will continue until 3:00 P.M. Refreshments will be available and judgement and presentations will be made at 3:30 P.M. Artists are invited to show up to three completed plein aire paintings at the exhibit. Artists must bring easels for each painting to be exhibited which may be sold at that time. All sales remain with the artist.

All art work to be exhibited is subject to the discretion of event management. Only art work produced the day of the paint out will be judged for awards.

The Wet Paint Exhibit and Sale is open to the public with art for sale by the participating artists.

Kids Corner – a free Plein Air event for our younger artists will be held at the corner of Main and Second Streets from 10 A.M. to 2 P.M. Easels and materials will be provided and awards given.
